Artistic Objectives

As a mixed-media artist I am passionate about trying new techniques, products and ideas and I always try to stretch myself in my work. Thanks to my artistic mother, I have experience in stamping, both dry and heat embossing, scrapbooking, paperclay sculpting, mini-book crafting, altering, card-making, photography, art  journaling, soldering, jewelry making, bookbinding and sewing clothing and soft toys.

I really enjoy working with manufacturers and am actively seeking work in this venue. I am experienced in creating with tight deadlines and in product promotion. Moreover, I am actively seeking opportunities to publish and continually submit with that purpose in mind. I am mainly geared toward Stampington publications (i.e. Somerset Memories, Somerset Studio, Green Craft, and Sew Somerset) and frequently respond to their challenges and calls. I am also very interested in writing articles, creating videos, tutorials and in teaching opportunities.

My Style

The majority (if not all) of my work is cheerful and fun with bright colors and happy themes. I enjoy working with many medias including fabric, paper and paperclay. Lately, I have found my focus changing from that of a scrapbooker, creating layouts to be placed in an album, to a mixed-media artist creating pieces that incorporate family heritage. I'm very excited about this transition. Yet, whatever media I choose, I define my style as whimsical freestyle.
